Everest-X Shelf offers exceptional noise reduction derived from Shunyata Research's CIS medical division, which simply translates into sublime low-level resolution. More than 60dB of noise reduction and six zones of isolation contribute to profound improvements in imaging, immediacy, tonality, and focus. An advanced CMode noise filter removes common-mode noise without introducing any undesirable compression of the dynamic range. And the Chassis Ground System ( CGS ) achieves new levels of ground-plane noise reduction in Everest-X Shelf.

Built to last for decades and touting conservatively rated specifications, the 34-pound Everest-X Shelf arrives housed in an aluminum-and-steel chassis that itself boasts reference-grade vibration control in the form of internal vibration-dampening panels, AC outlet dampening gaskets, and Shunyata's SSF-50 footers.

TAP Technology

TAP ( Transverse Axial Polarizer ) is a patent-pending technology developed by Shunyata to enhance the performance of its reference signal cables. The evolution of this technology has led to the creation of TAPc, a groundbreaking advancement that significantly reduces the size of the modules, enabling their application across a broader range of products, including power distributors, power cords, interconnects, digital cables, and speaker cables. The sonic results of TAPc include a profound drop in perceived noise floor, effortlessly portrayed dynamics, and an exceptional rendering of timing and coherency. Even to an untrained ear, the effects of TAPc are immediately apparent and consistently repeatable across various components and systems. 

Power Harp Technology

Power Harp, originally developed to address current resonances in speaker cables, has now been adapted for power distribution in Everest-X Shelf. Through extensive research, Shunyata founder Caelin Gabriel identified the presence of current drift and audio-frequency current resonances within power delivery systems, much like standing wave modes in room acoustics. In Everest-X Shelf, the HARP module functions as a current-mode diffraction device, disrupting these resonances to enhance resolution, coherence, and dynamic stability across connected components. By mitigating these power system artifacts, HARP technology helps create a more refined, noise free listening experience.

‌QR/BB Device

The ‌‌QR/BB is a patented device that dramatically enhances the perception of dynamic impact and timing when connected to amplifiers or other high-current electronics. The ‌‌QR/BB is unique in that it provides a local reserve of energy, or Coulomb charge, that mitigates the inductive reactance of the AC power line without using coils, transformers, or capacitors. The ‌‌QR/BB acts as an instantaneous energy reserve when placed in-line with an AC power supply.

KPIP v2 Processing

KPIP v2, Shunyata’s proprietary Kinetic Phase Inversion Process, includes four days of continuous KPIP v2 processing which refines conductor metals at a molecular level. This dramatically reduces burn-in time and significantly improves sonic performance, delivering a relaxed and life-like presentation. When compared to the original process, KPIP v2 represents a dramatic performance upgrade on par with a component-level upgrade.

NIC Devices

The ‌‌NIC (‌‌ Noise Isolation Chamber ) is a patented Shunyata Research device that reduces high-frequency power-line noise. It employs a ferroelectric substance that actually absorbs high frequency noise without any of the reactive negatives associated with transformers and large capacitors as used in conventional power conditioners.

CopperCONN Outlets

Many audiophile-grade connectors are made from brass or bronze. While some may get a plating of silver, gold, or rhodium, the majority of the current is carried by the contact’s base-metal. ‌CopperCONN connectors contain pure copper contacts, which have a much higher conductivity than brass. 

CMode Filter

Common-mode noise is different than differential noise and is much more difficult to measure and eliminate. For the purest signal possible, Shunyata Research has developed a CMode filter that effectively reduces common-mode noise without introducing the sonic compression effects associated with conventional filters. It reduces high-frequency noise distortion while delivering an analog ease and palpable background silence that closes the gap between digital and analog systems.

CCI Filters

‌‌CCI filters have the unique ability to reduce component-generated power line noise without inhibiting DTCD (dynamic transient current delivery). This unique filter element prevents power line noise from one component contaminating the other adjacent electronic components. Shunyata CCI filter modules consist of proprietary multi-stage filters that reduce power supply-generated noise without the use of heavy transformers, coils, or large capacitors.
