The Everest-X is the most advanced power distributor in Shunyata's history. As the successor to the Everest 8000, the Everest-X represents a new summit in the pursuit of absolute fidelity, offering a previously unattainable level of resolution & timing

Built upon decades of research and scientific refinement, the Everest-X redefines what is possible in power delivery. Whether anchoring a world-class mastering studio or unlocking new dimensions of musical immersion in a home system, Everest-X delivers previously unseen vistas of sonic truth.

Transverse Axial Polarizer ( TAPc )

A Shunyata Research patent pending technology originally developed to improve the performance of their reference cables, TAPc technology is a radical advancement of their original TAP technology which enables a significant reduction in the size of the modules – which for the first time allows this technology to be applied to power cords.  The sonic results of TAPc include a cavernous drop in perceived noise floor, effortlessly portrayed dynamics and a superb rendering of timing and coherency. The sonic benefits of  TAPc technology are quite simply unique and cannot be replicated by any competing product or technology. Even to an untrained ear, the effects of TAPc are immediately apparent and repeatable across a variety of components and systems. In essence, the TAPc modules are force-multipliers which elevate the listening experience to a level most could not imagine possible.

Power HARP Module

Originally developed to address current resonances within speaker cables, this tech has now been adapted for power distribution as implemented in the Everest-X. Through extensive research, Caelin Gabriel identified the presence of current drift and audio-frequency current resonances within power delivery systems, much like standing wave modes in room acoustics. In the Everest-X, the HARP module functions as a current-mode diffraction device, disrupting these resonances to enhance resolution, coherence, and dynamic stability across connected components. By mitigating these power system artifacts, HARP technology helps create a more refined, noise free listening experience, allowing the full potential of a system to be realized.

QR/BB™ Module

The QR/BB™ module acts as an electric charge reservoir, meaning it stores and releases energy in a manner that improves a component’s access to instantaneous current. Dynamics are actually improved reducing any sense of dynamic strain often heard from amplifiers that are connected with lesser power cables. The sonic result is a lifelike presentation of timing and dynamic contrasts in sound that cannot be replicated by ANY other means.  In layman’s terms, it acts like a super-charger for amplifiers, pre-amps, DACs and CD players.

The QR/BB tech applied in Everest is roughly 3 x larger than the same technology in the Denali 6000/S

CCI™ Noise Reduction

Traditional power conditioners are designed to block incoming noise from outside the home, but do not address the noise that is generated by the electronic components themselves. In fact, most conditioners reflect noise back into other components connected to the power conditioner. CCI™ ( Component-to-Component Isolation ) is one of the most significant but often overlooked aspects to power system performance. The CCI™ filter consists of a proprietary multi-stage filter that reduces electrical noise and interference generated by a component’s power supply.

Dynamic Transient Current Delivery ( DTCD )

DTCD™ Analysis is a technique which measures instantaneous current delivery through low impedance electrical conductors and contacts.  Shunyata Research uses this tech to optimize their designs and improve specification and construction of parts and materials to ensure maximum current delivery performance.  Each part, conductor, noise circuit and material allows for maximum throughput of instantaneous current. Listeners will experience earth-shaking low-frequency performance from even the highest-current amplifiers as well as dynamic contrasts unheard of outside of a live event.  More than any other design parameter, Shunyata Research’s skill in eliminating resistance and maximizing peak-current delivery is unmatched.

Noise Isolation Technology ( NIC™ )

The NIC™  is a patented technology which greatly reduces high frequency power line noise. NICs™ use a non-reactive ferroelectric substance that actually absorbs high frequency noise.  This lowers the noise floor without any of the negatives associated with other methods, such as power filter coils, capacitors & transformers.

Monolithic Construction

One of  Shunyata's fundamental design imperatives is to ensure life-long performance and durability. Long-term exposure to air will oxidize and corrode wiring as well as sensitive electronic components. All  filters, PCBs, connections and internal wiring inside Everest are contained within a monolithic enclosure which is then potted with ceramic materials to hermetically seal the contents. This protects the circuits and wiring from humidity and oxidation, and eliminates internal vibration between components. This unique construction methodology delivers exceptional and consistent performance which will not degrade over time.

GP-NR Noise Reduction

Significant amounts of noise exist on the ground plane of power lines. Ground wires act as antennae, picking up electrical noise which degrades the performance and operation of electronic components. Ground Plane Noise Reduction ( GP-NR™ ) is a proprietary technology developed by Shunyata Research to significantly reduce ground-plane noise; improving low-level resolution and clarity. For Everest-X the system includes four terminals, to connect up to 12 audio components. Shunyata offers several models of CGC chassis grounding cables each made to your length and termination requirements.
