The Marten Dexter Quartet is a 3-way floor-stander in Marten's Dexter series, sharing its architecture with the Quintet. It combines a diamond tweeter, 3.5-inch ceramic midrange, and 9.5" carbon fibre bass driver in an M-Core triple-layer cabinet. The Loaded Reflex Line manages bass via a downward-firing slotted port. Frequency Response:from 21 to 45,000 Hz at ±2 dB. Jorma Duality wiring standard; Statement Edition adds Jorma Statement and upgraded crossovers. Hand-built in Mölndal, Sweden.

Marten Dexter Quartet

The Marten Dexter Quartet is a 3-way floorstanding loudspeaker and the larger of the two 3-way models in Marten's Dexter series. Where the Dexter Trio and Duo use a ceramic mid/bass driver to cover the midrange and bass together, the Quartet introduces a dedicated 3.5" ceramic midrange driver alongside a separate 9.5" carbon fibre bass driver, sharing this architecture directly with the flagship Dexter Quintet. The Quartet is available in Standard and Statement Edition configurations, in four finishes hand built in Sweden.

The Dexter Series

The Dexter series comprises four models: Dexter Duo, Dexter Trio, Dexter Quartet, and Dexter Quintet. All four share a common platform: the same pure diamond tweeter, M-Core triple-layer cabinet construction, carbon fibre laminate faceplate, Jorma Duality internal wiring, and Loaded Reflex Line bass loading. The Quartet and Quintet are the 3-way models, adding a dedicated ceramic midrange and carbon fibre bass driver to the driver configuration used in the Trio and Duo. Marten states that the Quartet delivers the essential character of the series in a form factor suited to rooms where the Quintet's proportions would exceed what the space calls for.

Cabinet & Faceplate

The cabinet is M-Core triple-layer construction. The faceplate is a machined carbon fibre laminate, shared with Marten's flagship models. Marten Isolators, developed with IsoAcoustics, decouple the cabinet from the floor to reduce resonance transfer.

Standard & Statement Edition

The Standard Edition uses Jorma Duality internal wiring throughout. The Statement Edition uses Jorma Statement internal wiring and highest-quality crossover components. Both versions share the same drivers, cabinet, and bass loading system.

Finishes

The Dexter Quartet is available in four finishes: True Grain Oak, Matte Walnut, Piano Walnut, and Piano Black. True Grain Oak is exclusive to the Dexter series. A dedicated stand in mirror polished stainless steel with Marten Isolators is included.

Diamond Tweeter

The 1" pure diamond tweeter in the Dexter Duo is derived from development work done on Marten's Coltrane Supreme Extreme project. Its diaphragm moves in pure piston motion beyond the limits of hearing, producing transient response that reflects what is recorded rather than approximating it. This tweeter is shared across all four Dexter models.

Ceramic Midrange

A 3.5″ ceramic midrange, designed by Marten, sits at the heart of Dexter Quartet and Quintet. High stiffness and low mass keep it pistonic across its full operating range — the transparency and control it delivers define the tonal character of the design.

Carbon Fiber Bass

A 9.5″ carbon fibre cone driver handles the low frequencies in Dexter Quartet. High stiffness and low mass — the combination that keeps the cone pistonic at the frequencies that define bass dynamics and control.

Loaded Reflex Line

The Loaded Reflex Line is a new bass loading system developed specifically for the Dexter series. It combines bass reflex and transmission line principles through a shaped internal channel and a wide downward-firing slotted port. The result is reduced air velocity, extended bass depth, and greater flexibility in room placement compared to conventional ported designs. Each Dexter model's bass loading is tuned independently to its driver configuration.

Jorma Duality Wiring

Jorma Duality, handmade in Sweden. Ultra-pure copper conductors forming a direct signal path from crossover to driver. Standard across every model in the series. Internal wiring is upgraded to Jorma Statement in the Dexter Statement models.
