The tweeter is diamond. Not as an option. Not as an upgrade. It was the starting point for every design decision that followed.

Marten Dexter Quintet
The Marten Dexter Quintet is the flagship of the Dexter series and a 3-way floorstanding loudspeaker built around technologies developed at the top of Marten's range. It shares its driver architecture with the Dexter Quartet -- a pure diamond tweeter, a 3.5-inch ceramic midrange, and 9.5" carbon fibre bass drivers -- but extends the bass array to two drivers, increases cabinet depth, and applies the carbon fibre faceplate across both the tweeter and midrange positions. Marten states the Quintet exceeded its own specification during development. It is available in Standard and Statement Edition configurations, in four finishes, & is hand built in Mölndal, Sweden.
The Dexter series comprises four models: Dexter Duo, Dexter Trio, Dexter Quartet, and Dexter Quintet. All four share a common platform: the same pure diamond tweeter, M-Core triple-layer cabinet construction, Loaded Reflex Line bass loading, and Jorma Duality internal wiring. The Quintet and Quartet are the 3-way models, using a dedicated ceramic midrange and carbon fibre bass driver separate from the tweeter. The Quintet is distinguished from the Quartet by its twin bass drivers and the larger, deeper cabinet required to load them. Marten states that the Quartet was designed for rooms where the Quintet's proportions exceed what the space calls for.
The cabinet is M-Core triple-layer construction. The carbon fibre laminate faceplate surrounds both the tweeter and the midrange driver in the Quintet, an extension of the faceplate coverage compared to the Dexter Duo and Trio where the faceplate surrounds the tweeter only. Marten Isolators, developed with IsoAcoustics, decouple the cabinet from the floor to reduce resonance transfer.
The Standard Edition uses Jorma Duality internal wiring throughout. The Statement Edition uses Jorma Statement internal wiring and highest-quality crossover components. Both versions share the same drivers, cabinet, bass loading, and overall design.
The Dexter Quintet is available in four finishes:
- True Grain Oak
- Matte Walnut
- Piano Walnut
- Piano Black.
True Grain Oak is exclusive to the Dexter series. A dedicated stand in mirror polished stainless steel with Marten Isolators is included.
