We are an Austrian company that has been supplying the world with turntables since 1991 and HiFi components since 2000.

The Beginning

Pro-Ject was founded in 1991, during the onslaught of the compact disc and CD players, with the mission to offer the best analogue experience for reasonable prices. In a time where the digital audio media had been on the rise, and vinyl was declared as outdated and dead, Heinz Lichtenegger kept his belief in the simple but best way to enjoy music – turntables.

Austria is more than just a list of famous composers; music is an integral part of its identity. What's special is the deep emotional connection that people have to music here. It's about experiencing it, not just listening to it.

The Turntable As An Instrument.

The instrument is a living piece of history. It speaks through the hands of the musician—and only here does the music truly come to life.

But the melody needs more than just a concert hall. It needs an echo, a second instrument to continue its story. Like the violin with its shape and soul, the turntable is also an instrument. It is the heart that brings the music back to life.

Production

With cutting edge technologies and machines, we are able to create visually pleasing products without losing the eye for the finest details. In Czech Republic, we produce all our turntables from scratch, by hand and in house. From the tiniest screw to the chassis, everything is done by our technicians. A strict four step quality control ensures that everything works as intended. In Slovakia we manufacture micro sized high end audio components. We pride ourselves with products that have a long-lasting value and give our customers satisfaction in all their audio needs.
