The Delta-X is an  eight-outlet power-distributor built for performance and value and is suitable for mastering, recording and playback systems. Delta-X's ability to eliminate multiple forms of high-frequency noise while delivering maximum peak current to every component makes it an indispensable part of any system seeking the ultimate in performance.

Technological innovations which earned the range-topping Everest-X multiple media awards and studio accolades are now a foundational part of the Delta-X at an eminently affordable price.  Delta-X is designed using a balance of science and measurements to eliminate RFI, EMI and power-line noise, the majority of which are left unaddressed by traditional approaches to "power conditioning." Shunyata builds the Delta-X to prove they offer the most aggressive price to performance product on the market.

Most people only consider noise reduction necessary if they hear an audible form of noise through their speakers, for instance a hiss, hum, or buzz. Delta-X is capable of eliminating many of those forms of audible noise, however, it also removes noise that isn't audible, but absolutely smears resolution of fine detail, distorts rhythm and pacing and disrupts the recreation of the three-dimensional space in which the recording takes place.

Delta-X creates an island of calm for sensitive electronics, protecting them from the deluge of noise which so frequently permeates the crowded electronics-laden environment of an audio system. Simply installing a Delta-X in the system provides immediate and profound improvements.

The most obvious improvement is the drop in perceived background noise as the Delta-X removes the whitish haze and washed out coloration so prevalent in modern power. In much the same way that a morning mist obscures and softens a vista, this electrical noise is frequently not even noticed, until it disappears. With depth, color and resolution restored, the mist is gone and you experience an entirely new panorama.

Removing noise from the AC line also improves focus, allowing the gear to pass far greater information to the listener. Performers are now more clearly audible, more present, and better defined. They come alive in a well-defined space, working together with each taking up their respective positions on a larger and far more realistic sound stage.

Delta-X's superior ability to convey dynamic transient energy adds impact, weight and scale to recordings which previously sounded compressed or edgy. With superior resolution, organic silence and newfound dimension Delta-X brings familiar recordings to life, making this compact and affordable conditioner a one of a kind, must audition product.

Transverse Axial Polarizer ( TAPc )

A Shunyata Research patent pending technology originally developed to improve the performance of their reference cables, TAPc technology is a radical advancement of their original TAP technology which enables a significant reduction in the size of the modules – which for the first time allows this technology to be applied to power cords.  The sonic results of TAPc include a cavernous drop in perceived noise floor, effortlessly portrayed dynamics and a superb rendering of timing and coherency. The sonic benefits of  TAPc technology are quite simply unique and cannot be replicated by any competing product or technology. Even to an untrained ear, the effects of TAPc are immediately apparent and repeatable across a variety of components and systems. In essence, the TAPc modules are force-multipliers which elevate the listening experience to a level most could not imagine possible.

QR/BB™ Module

The QR/BB™ module acts as an electric charge reservoir, meaning it stores and releases energy in a manner that improves a component’s access to instantaneous current. Dynamics are actually improved reducing any sense of dynamic strain often heard from amplifiers that are connected with lesser power cables. The sonic result is a lifelike presentation of timing and dynamic contrasts in sound that cannot be replicated by ANY other means.  In layman’s terms, it acts like a super-charger for amplifiers, pre-amps, DACs and CD players.

Noise Isolation Technology ( NIC™ )

The NIC™  is a patented technology which greatly reduces high frequency power line noise. NICs™ use a non-reactive ferroelectric substance that actually absorbs high frequency noise.  This lowers the noise floor without any of the negatives associated with other methods, such as power filter coils, capacitors and transformers.

ArNi® Conductors

Shunyata Research’ designed their ArNi® conductors to be the finest quality wire available for power and audio purposes. These conductors start life with the highest purity copper available, OFE C10100 ( aka Ohno single crystal ). These are then formed into “virtual hollow tubes” dubbed VTX™.  The core of the conductor is completely hollow forcing the current to only travel through the periphery of the conductor, therby eliminating skin effects and random eddy currents. Finally, all ArNi® wire undergoes Shunyata's proprietary KPIP™ process.

Hydraulic Electromagnetic Breaker

Most power conditioners use either fuses or thermal breakers for over-current protection. When heavily loaded, those devices cause voltage drops, increased contact impedance, thermal noise, excessive heat generation, and current-limiting effects. The Delta-X uses a more advanced solution called a hydraulic electromagnetic breaker that can operate right up to the maximum current rating without the limitations of fuses or thermal breakers.

Vibration Isolation

Shunyata Research developed their own ‌vibration isolation after years of research. By using sub-miniature accelerometers to accurately measure the effects of floor and airborne sound waves, Shunyata was able to create vibration absorbing materials such as energy absorbing footers, AC outlet gaskets and chassis dampeners to reduce the negative effects of resonant vibration. In keeping with this approach, the Delta-X chassis is made with optimally dampened steel and aluminum materials.

Cable Cradle

High-end power cables tend to be heavy, which means they will inevitably pull themselves out of the socket. Shunyata's Cable Cradle  surrounds and supports the weight of the power cable right at the plug, preventing even the heaviest of power cords from pulling away from the outlet. This system ensures reliable and secure electrical connections as well as increasing peace of mind.

Kinetic Phase Inversion Processing v2 ( KPIP™v2 )
Shunyata's proprietary Kinetic Phase Inversion Process dramatically reduces burn-in time and significantly improve sonic performance. KPIP is a four-day process which is an essential part of why their products deliver such a relaxed and life-like presentation.

Cryogenic Processing

Shunyata Research operates its own on-site Cryogenics International computer-controlled cryogenic plant. Liquid nitrogen is used to slowly lower the temperature of the chamber down to -320 degrees Fahrenheit. This close to absolute zero, molecules will slow their vibration and slowly pull closer to each other.  A sophisticated computer monitors and lowers the temperature by a single degree at a time which prevents thermal shock to the materials. The materials in the "bath" spend a period of time at this very low temperature & then the computer slowly raises the temperature back to normal. Once returned to room temperature, the materials have been physically changed for the better, improving their sonic and electrical characteristics. Shunyata uses this process to improve the performance of their connectors and various electrical components used in their power products and signal cabling.
